Biography
International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans
Mr. Brecht joined Carday Associates in 1995 as the Operations Manager with responsibility for the day-to day management of Carday's main office. In 2001, he was promoted to General Manager. His responsibilities expanded to include budgeting and finance decisions. In 2005 he was named as the Chief Operations Officer with oversight of the entire operation of Carday Associates. In July 2011, he became the Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board, responsible for the future direction and continuing success of Carday Associates, Inc.
Mr. Brecht graduated from Radford University with a major in accounting and is a Certified Public Accountant. He has worked as an administrator for Taft-Hartly Multi-Employer Funds since 1991, when he served as Assistant Fund Administrator for the UMWA/BCOA Training and Education Fund. Mr. Brecht holds the Retirement Plan Associate and Group Benefits Associate designation from the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans.
He is a frequent speaker and moderator for the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans' conferences. He is serving on the Financial Review Committee of the Foundation and is a past Chairman of the Administrator's Committee.
