I have a research expertise in Philosophy of Economics, Political Economy and History of Economic Thought, focusing on two main areas:
First, I am interested in the contributions of Michel Foucault's philosophy to the history of economic thought and political economy, which reconstitutes the role of power in economics from an interdisciplinary perspective. I bring Foucault's political philosophy to comprehend how power is created and disseminated via economic policies in modern capitalism. Some topics include, for instance, the role of neoliberal ideology, increasing financialization and the reconstitution of labor relations in creating power.
Secondly, my research develops on the teaching and pedagogy of economics in the post-crisis, addressing insights from critical pedagogy and understanding the role of heterodox economics as an alternative theory and method.
I am also an affiliate researcher at Autonomy (http://www.autonomyinstitute.org/) and a member of Reteaching Economics (http://reteacheconomics.org/).
Some of my articles can be found in peer-reviewed journals such as the Review of Political Economy, Review of Radical Political Economics and History of Economic Ideas.
