Biography
In his role as Senior Advisor to VRC, Mr. Grant advises VRC and clients on the valuations of financial instruments, derivatives, and complex securities related to contingent consideration, employee stock compensation, convertible notes, warrants, and securities in complex capital structures.
His work is informed by 30 years of academic research and 11 years of practice with a multinational valuation firm, where he led the global derivatives valuation practice, and PwC, as lead researcher in the valuation of complex securities. Mr. Grant also co-led the valuation of the TARP loans for the Congressional Oversight Panel.
Prior to his valuation career, Mr. Grant taught finance and economics at universities in the U.S. and Canada and is a well-published research journalist.
Mr. Grant received his bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Western Ontario and an MBA and Ph.D. in finance from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
