Biography
Gary L. Branham is an organizational ombudsman at the Internal Revenue Service where he assists IRS
employees in resolving workplace disputes using mediation, facilitation, and conflict coaching. He is also a Certified Mediator in the U.S. Treasury Shared Neutrals Program where he mediates discrimination cases.
In his private mediation practice, Branham is a mediator for the United States Postal Service
REDRESS Program, the Transportation Security Administration, the United States Department of
Agriculture, and has been an Indiana Education Employment Relations Board ad hoc panelist since 2002.
Branham is an adjunct faculty member at Indiana University School of Public and Environmental Affairs
in Bloomington where he teaches Negotiation and Alternative Dispute Resolution. He is a 1986 graduate of the Indiana University Kelley School of Business in Bloomington where he earned his accounting degree.
He was a Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution Fellow for the 2011-12 academic year at Pepperdine University School of Law in Malibu, California, where he is completed his Masters in Dispute Resolution. He also completed the Executive Certificate in Negotiation at the University of Notre Dame and additional coursework in dispute resolution at the Program on Negotiations at Harvard Law School.
