About
Dr. Taherkhani is an assistant professor in the Information Systems and Supply Chain Management Department in Quinlan School of Business at Loyola University Chicago. She received her Ph.D. degree in Management Sciences at the University of Waterloo. Prior to joining Loyola University Chicago, she was a postdoctoral research fellow in the Interuniversity Research Centre on Enterprise Networks, Logistics, and Transportation (CIRRELT) and the School of Management at the University of Quebec in Montreal. Her main research area is in supply chain management analytics, in particular developing both deterministic and stochastic models and solution algorithms for data-driven decision problems at strategic, tactical, and operational levels arising in transportation, logistics, and telecommunications. She studiens these problems from both the analytical and empirical perspectives. In 2020, her Ph.D. dissertation was granted the second best INFORMS SOLA Dissertation Award and INFORMS AAS Dissertation Award.
