Biography

Ian Coyle is the County Administrator of Livingston County, New York. He received a BA in Political Science from St. Bonaventure University and his MPA degree with a specialization in Local Government Management from the Nelson A. Rockefeller College of Public Affairs and Policy of the University at Albany. He is currently ABD in the Doctorate of Public Administration program at Valdosta State University, where his dissertation research is focused on factors influencing a county manager's length of service to a community. Mr. Coyle is a full member of the International City/County Management Association (ICMA) and serves on the board of the National Association of County Administrators and the ICMA Advisory Board on Graduate Education. He is an ICMA Credentialed Manager (ICMA-CM). Mr.Coyle has also taught Bachelor’s and Master’s level courses in public finance, public management and administrative ethics for The College at Brockport, Northeastern University and Villanova University.
