Current Post
Professor Jackie Oldham is Director of Health Innovation, Manchester Oxford Road Corridor (Manchester''s Health Innovation District) and is a Manchester Ambassador. Her Corridor Manchester role sits at the heart of Health Innovation Manchester. Her responsibilities include:
-Strategic development for health innovation in Greater Manchester
-Understanding and promoting Greater Manchester health innovation assets
-Making connections and maximising relationships
-Attracting and retaining global organisations and investment
-Growing companies and talent pool
-Optimising community integration opportunities
Jackie is also Director, Manchester Improving Medicine with Innovation and Technology (MIMIT) and Honorary Director, Edward Centre for Healthcare Management Research - part of the Edward Healthcare group of companies established in China with presence in the UK and Asia.
Jackie holds a PhD in musculoskeletal physiology and was the founder director of the Centre for Rehabilitation Science at the University of Manchester. She has served as an invited member on a number of National committees including the NHS Secretary of State’s Advisory Panel for NHS Challenge Prizes and the Medical Research Council Translational Research and Stratified Medicine Steering Groups. She currently serves as a member of the MRC Confidence in Concept and Proximity to Discovery Award Committees.
