Biography

The London School of Economics and Political Science

Jessica Templeton is a Senior Policy Advisor with IISD's Tracking Progress team and a Writer, Editor, and Team Lead with the Earth Negotiations Bulletin. She is also a lecturer and Director of LSE100: The LSE Course at the London School of Economics. Jessica’s academic and policy work focus on sustainability, global governance of chemicals and wastes, and the interface between science and policymaking.

With over 10 years of experience leading collaborative international teams of academics and practitioners, Jessica has expertise in strategic communication, organizational change, systems thinking, and policy analysis. Since joining the ENB team in 2006, Jessica has covered technical work and political negotiations on persistent organic pollutants, mercury, ozone, and hazardous wastes.

A dual citizen of the United States and United Kingdom, Jessica has a Ph.D in Political Science (London School of Economics), an M.Sc in Public Policy and Public Administration (London School of Economics), and a BA in Political Science and Sociology (Guilford College).
