Biography
Jesús Saracho is a Spanish-qualified lawyer in Uria Menendez's Litigation and Arbitration Department (Madrid), currently on secondment at Chaffetz Lindsey LLP (New York).
His practice focuses on international arbitration in Europe and Latin America. He advises in complex disputes involving cross-border commercial agreements, joint ventures and M&A transactions in the engineering and construction, private equity, and oil and gas sectors.
Since 2015, Jesús has been an adjunct professor at Universidad Pontificia Comillas-ICADE (Madrid). He has also been a visiting fellow at Jindal Global Law School (New Delhi) teaching international arbitration. Jesús is a member of the CIArb and reporter of the New York Branch. He is secretary of the International Bar Association (IBA) Arbitration Guidelines and Rules Subcommittee and of the Subcommittee in charge of preparing and drafting the Lawyers' section of the new Code of Ethics of the Club Espanol del Arbitraje (CEA).
Jesús holds a law degree (JD equivalent) with distinction (2013) and a bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Management (2014) from the Universidad Pontificia Comillas ICADE (Madrid), DePaul University (Chicago) and Singapore Management University (Singapore).
He is a native Spanish speaker, is fluent in English and has a basic knowledge of French and Portuguese.
