Biography

DePaul University

My research focuses on the study of biomolecular interactions using Isothermal Titration Calorimetry (ITC). ITC directly measures the heat associated with most biomolecular interactions to determine thermodynamic parameters including binding affinity, stoichiometry, and binding energetics to lead us to a better understanding of molecular interactions. Systems studied so far include the interactions of proteins, peptides, antibiotics, amino acids, drugs and drug candidates with small molecules and metal ions. Such studies also contribute to better drug designs and testing.
