Boston University
John McGrath is acting chair of the division of social sciences within the College of General Studies. He is the author of The Modernization of the Western World and The French in Early Florida: In the Eye of the Hurricane. He currently teaches courses on US foreign relations as well as the Chinese and Russian revolutions. He was also the screenwriter for the History Channel’s 2010 film The Real Story of Thanksgiving and received the Peyton Richter Award for excellence in interdisciplinary teaching in 2007.
