Professor Gonyea is a Professor of Social Work and Chair of Social Research. Her current research emphasis is on intergenerational family relations, family caregiving, work-family interface, older women’s economic and health status, vulnerable urban elders, aging politics and policies and evaluation of community-based programs and services. She is the American Editor of Community, Work & Family: An International Journal and author of several publications including the upcoming “Changing family demographics, multi-generational bonds, and care of the oldest old” in Public Policy & Aging Report.
