Karyll Shaw

Dr. Karyll Shaw was Associate Dean of MBA and Professional Master’s Programs at the Broad College of Business from 2009 until August 2012. Since August she has been working on initiatives with select industry partners with Supply Chain Management faculty as Director of Outreach Projects. Before her role as associate dean, Dr. Shaw was the Executive Director of the Full-Time MBA program at the Broad College.

She earned her PhD from the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business, and has both an academic and industry background. Before joining the Broad College, she ran a consulting company, and prior to that from 1998-2004, she worked for the Microsoft Corporation in various human resource management roles, including leading executive and high-potential talent management processes for the company and serving as internal organizational consultant and coach to Microsoft executives. Prior to joining Microsoft, Dr. Shaw led worldwide leadership education for Rohm and Haas, Co., (now part of Dow Chemical) and worked in applied research for the Department of Defense.
