Babson Olin Graduate School of Business
Academic Division: TOIMKathleen McKone teaches operations management and supply chain management courses to both undergraduate and graduate students at Babson. She has also taught at the University of Minnesota M.B.A. and executive education programs. Prior to completing her graduate work in business, she worked for Pitney Bowes and Procter and Gamble. Professor McKone-Sweet''s current research focuses on supply-chain management anf global healthcare. The results from her research have been published in numerous academic books and journals, including the Journal of Operations Management, Production Operations Management, Journal of Supply Chain Management, and Supply Chain Management Review. She has also published numerous operations management cases and management education papers. She has a strong interest in teaching materials that consider social, environmental and economic value creation as well as hands-on simulations and exercises that engage students in the learning process. Her book The New Entrepreneurial Leader: Developing Leaders Who Shape Social and Economic Opportunity (2011), co-authored with Danna Greenberg, Jim Wilson and other Babson Faculty, details a new model for leadership development.
