Kirsten Burr

Adjunct Professor of Economics

Biography

In December of 2018, I completed my undergraduate studies at Spelman College and earned a Bachelor or Arts in Economics. I was able to complete my undergraduate degree in 3.5 years, graduated Summa Cum Laude & Phi Beta Kappa, and began a Master of Science program in Quantitative and Computational Finance at the Georgia Institute of Technology in January of 2019, which I completed in May of 2020.

I am very interested in gaining more knowledge and experience in quantitative research within financial economics. I’ve completed four successful internships during my undergraduate years as well as two while in graduate school, and I have developed strong research, analysis, and presentation skills from these experiences. I believe that these skills and experiences will allow me to be a valuable asset. I am eager to learn more about financial engineering and more than willing to research topics on my own time to become more knowledgeable.
