Presentation

My Ph.D. project is concerned with global innovation networks and sustainable energy industries primarily focusing on China’s role in internationalizing renewable technologies. My research objective is to analyze how innovation capability in China is affected by political, economic and societal dynamics and vice versa. This comprises, inter alia, the study of causes and consequences of China’s rise in RE industries, the interplay between indigenous and global knowledge sources, the role of national and international institutions in the catch-up (and outpace) process as well as the evolution of public policy and global energy governance in China. The Ph.D. project is funded by Copenhagen Business School and the Sino-Danish center (SDC) and involves various Danish and Chinese project partners such as UCAS, UNEP, CASTED and Tsinghua University.
