Laurent de Brouwer is a specialist in consumer law (trade practices, e-commerce, consumer credit, privacy, labelling), distribution law and competition law. He also has wide experience in the area of intellectual property law (designs, copyright and trade marks).

He advises mail order companies, communication and marketing agencies, and major distribution and food industry companies. He assists them in court and in procedures before the administrative authorities. Laurent is the author of “Le droit des jeux publicitaires”, in 2016, “Le droit des promotions commerciales” and a number of other publications in his focus areas. Career

Memberships

Laurent was a visiting professor for the Executive Masters in Marketing & Advertising at the Solvay Business School from 1992 to 2014. He is also a member of the International Competition Law League (L.I.C.D.), former chairman of the board of the Belgian group and of the Belgian Competition Law Association (A.E.D.C.-V.S.M.R.), and a member of the Belgian Association of Marketing (BAM).
