Biography
The Kets de Vries Institute
For Manfred, coaching is about discovering what makes you tick and using the power of authenticity in order to achieve goals. Manfred is business oriented and pragmatic. At the same time, he encourages his clients to take a step back, see the whole picture and focus on what is really important beyond business.
Manfred began his business career with Lufthansa German Airlines. His first foreign project entailed the build up and management of AMECO’s HR and administration division, a large joint venture in Beijing, P.R.C. He was then based in Brussels as VP HR of Global One, a global telecommunications company before returning to Germany to join Accenture as HR Director for Austria, Switzerland and Germany. After being invited into the Accenture Partnership, Manfred took over a general management role and became CEO of the company running Accenture’s infrastructural organization in German-speaking Europe. He then became a member of the Board of Accenture’s German holding company and of the firm’s Global Leadership Council.
Manfred has been working internationally as a professional coach and team facilitator since 2002. He founded several leadership organizations and has been working over the last couple of years with a number of well-known, international leadership institutions (e.g. CCL, INSEAD). Manfred is a certified lawyer with a specialization in labour law and holds a “Certificat d’etudes en Developpement” from the University of Geneva in addition to an Executive Master in Coaching and Consulting from HEC and INSEAD. He is a Board Certified Coach (CCE – USA) and a member of the International Coachfederation.
Manfred coaches in English and German and is also fluent in French and Spanish. He lives with his wife near Frankfurt, Germany and on Mallorca, Spain.
