Matthew Mulford teaches in various HEC Executive Education programs, such as HEC Executive MBA and customized programs, which he also designs and facilitates as Academic Director.

Matt Mulford joined the London School of Economics (LSE) faculty in 1995 where he has been a senior lecturer in quantitative methods and negotiation analysis. He was a founding Dean (until 2009) of the TRIUM Global Executive MBA program - a joint EMBA from HEC Paris, the London School of Economics and New York University's Stern Business School. This EMBA is ranked as one of the top 5 EMBAs in the world by the Financial Times.

Matt Mulford's research interests include the psychology of judgment and decision making in interdependent interactions; experimental game theory; negotiation theory; experimental research design. Capitalizing on his expertise in negotiation analysis, effective business decision making and leadership, Matt Mulford has also designed and/or taught customized executive programs for various institutions around the world and across a variety of industries and in more than 20 countries.

He has won university-wide outstanding teaching awards at both the University of Oregon and the LSE. Matt Mulford received his Ph.D. from the University of Oregon, where he worked at the Richard J. Hill Institute of Social Cognition and Decision Making. He holds a Master's degree from New York University, where he studied game theory and politics.

Dr. Matthew Mulford is an Affiliate Professor at HEC-Paris, a Senior Research Fellow at the London School of Economics and a Visiting Faculty at the European School of Management and Technology in Berlin. He is formally a founding Dean of the TRIUM Global Executive MBA program. TRIUM is a joint EMBA offered by New York University's Stern Business School, HEC School of Management in Paris, and the London School of Economics. The degree was ranked as one of the top 5 in the world by the FT in each of the years of his Deanship. Prior to his Deanship, he was a senior lecturer in quantitative methods and negotiation analysis at the London School of Economics (LSE).

His research interests include the psychology of judgment and decision making in interdependent interactions, negotiation analysis, experimental game theory, and experimental research design. Dr. Mulford has designed, directed and/or taught executive training courses in more than 20 countries for a variety of clients, including: Allianz, Boehringer Ingelheim, Bosch, Commercial Bank of Qatar, Deutsche Bank, EADS, Ericsson, Gallup, Gold Fields, Indian National Railroad, King Faisal Specialist Hospital, Linklaters, MAF-Carrefour, MTS, Qatar Foundation, Qtel, Rusal, Siemens, Standard Chartered Bank, Statoil, Syngenta, ThyssenKrupp, and Total.

In addition to his work in the commercial sector, Dr Mulford has worked for various governmental agencies. For the UK's National Audit Office he evaluated the methodology used in value for money studies of various UK Government Ministries, including the Home Office, NHS and Ministry of Defence. He also has delivered training on negotiations for a selection of civil servants in the Home Office of the UK. Finally, he worked with the United Nations Development Program to deliver training in negotiations and decision making in Croatia.
