Biography

University of Salford, Manchester

I joined the University of Salford in 2019 as a Lecturer in Project Management. Before that, I worked in other different universities. I worked as a lecturer in Project Management at the University of Huddersfield from 2015 until 2019. I worked as an Associate Lecturer at Leeds Business School teaching Project Management, Global Supply Chain and Strategy subjects for both undergrad and postgrad from 2014 until 2015. I worked as a teaching graduate assistant from 2010 until 2014 at University of Manchester teaching Project Management subjects for Postgrad.

I obtained PhD in Project Management from the University of Manchester. I previously studied MSc in Construction Management at the Islamic University of Gaza in Palestine and obtained BSc in Civil Engineering from Near East University in Northern Cyprus (transferred from Middle East Technical University in Turkey). My experience in industry is centred on project management in construction industry as I worked for several years as a project manager for multi million construction projects and a project management consultant for several organisations. I was the director of Project Management Department at the Islamic University of Gaza in 2008 – 2010

TEACHING

I taught broad range of subjects in the field of project management and operations management including Project Management, Operations Management, Purchasing and Supply, Global Supply Chain Management, Advanced Project and Risk Management, and Managing Humanitarian Aid Projects

RESEARCH INTERESTS

My research interests revolve around construction management and sociological perspectives within project management context.
