Prof.P.Chandiran is Professor of Operations Management and Supply Chain Management at Loyola Institute of Business Administration, Chennai, India. He has about 20 years of experience in teaching, consultancy and research and has published research articles in both international and national journals in the area of Operations and Supply Chain Management. He heads the Centre for Logistics and Supply Chain Management as Chairperson and co-ordinates the One Year Executive Diploma Program in Logistics and Supply Chain Management. He has worked in the Telecom industry for about three and half years after pursuing an MBA at the Department of Management Studies, Madurai Kamaraj University. He has completed his Ph.D. in the area of reverse supply chain from Anna University.
He runs a program series called Thought Leadership Program every alternative month and the last meet was on GST and its impact on Logistics sector. The Centre also involved in research and consulting. It also publishes a newsletter called ‘Logistically Thinking’, which is being circulated among Industry.
He is involved in international collaboration with ALTIS, Catholic University at Milan, Italy in terms of research and teaching. He is part of MBA (Social Entrepreneurship) program launched in African nations of Kenya and Ghana. He went to Nairobi and Accra to handle Operations Management courses for this program.
Apart from regular academics, he is involved in curriculum revision for Full time PGDM and One year programs, admission process and other general administration works.

Prof.P.Chandiran has a B.E in Electronics & Communication Engineering from Kongu Engineering College, Bharathiyar University, an MBA specialising in Marketing & Production from Department of Management Studies, Madurai Kamaraj University and a Ph.D in the area of Reverse Supply Chain Management from Dept. of Industrial Engineering, Anna University.

- Cashew Processing supply chain, development project Research under CARE
- Preparation of District Human Development Report for Chennai District
- Direct Port Delivery and its impact on stakeholders at Chennai Port
- Completed a funded research project titled ‘Reverse Supply Chain Network Design in the battery industry” sponsored by AICTE, Govt. of India, in 2007.Completed a joint research project on Waste Recycling Supply Chain in Bangalore in Collaboration with ALTIS, Italy.Industry consultancy projects in the area of Supply Chain completed with corporates like MRF, IFF Completed a study on Amma Unavagam-A supply chain perspective.
