Hult Ashridge Executive Education

Patricia’s career has taken her from being a researcher in the House of Commons, into the Financial Services sector for several years and then to in Higher Education. A Chartered Organisational and Business Psychologist she held posts at the Universities of Sheffield, Leeds and City University in London before joining Ashridge Executive Education. Her expertise is in Leadership Development and Management Learning and she has wide ranging experience of helping national and global clients to develop their leaders for organisational and personal success. She is Professor of Management Development, and now adjunct faculty and researcher at Ashridge. She is also an independent university governor and has a consultancy company offering both personal and organisational development services, specialising in self -awareness, relational leadership and organisational culture.

Patricia’s work focusses on the personal and contextual aspects of leading. She believes strongly in the importance of building sustainable, successful organisations through developing skilled, confident and resilient leadership at all levels in the organisation. Patricia’s clients particularly value her thoughtful expertise which is delivered lightly and her ability to link knowledge and theory to real life practicality.

Patricia is an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society, a Justice of the Peace, a Freeman of the City of London and a Visiting Research Fellow at the University of Stellenbosch in South Africa. Her first degree is in Psychology from Leeds University, her MSc is in Industrial/Organisational Psychology from the University of Hull and she holds a PhD from the University of Leeds which examined the complexities of ‘Managing and Motivating Volunteers’. Patricia has published widely and authored 3 books whilst contributing to many other publications and conferences. She is qualified to use many psychometric instruments and her teaching and research interests include Leadership, Sustainability, Diversity and Inclusion, Managing Virtual Relationships, Resilience and Career Agility.
