Simone Menne

Simone joined VI Partners in 2018 as Member of the Advisory Board.

In her professional career, Simone was member of the Management Board of Boehringer Ingelheim, responsible for their finance division until the end of 2017. She previously served as CFO of Deutsche Lufthansa AG (2012-16) and its affiliate British Midland (2010-12).

Prior to that, Simone held several senior management functions within Deutsche Lufthansa AG in the areas of Finance, Accounting, IT and HR. In her role as CFO of Deutsche Lufthansa, she was Chairwoman of the following Supervisory Boards: Lufthansa Cargo AG, LSG Lufthansa Service Holding AG, Lufthansa Systems AG and Delvag Luftfahrtversicherungs AG; in addition, she was member of the Supervisory Board of Lufthansa Technik.

Simone today is a Supervisory Board Member and Non-executive Director in the following companies: BMW AG (since 2016), Deutsche Post DHL AG (since 2016), Springer Nature (since 2018), and Johnson Controls International Plc. (since 2018). She furthermore serves on the Board of Trustees of Fraunhofer Institute for Applied Information Technology FIT and is member of the German Accounting Standards Committee. Simone regular publishes about various topics such as digitalization, business, art, and leadership.

Simone graduated in Business Administration from Christian-Albrecht-University Kiel.
