Georgia Tech Professional Education
Assistant Director of Georgia Tech's Industrial Assessment Center (IAC) program. Coordinated a team of faculty and student engineers providing energy, waste, and productivity assessments for manufacturers in Georgia and North Florida. Tasks include hiring/training students, developing facility-wide energy balances, creating waste-saving recommendations based on in-plant data gathering, and managing the report writing and delivery process. The Georgia Tech team, with assistance from a satellite center at FSU/FAMU, delivered 25 reports to clients during tenure, with recommended waste reduction cost savings of $2.9M.
Assisted manufacturers and municipalities with energy/environmental management projects, including ISO 50001 and ISO 14001 implementation, solar PV energy and financial analysis, and electricity rate structure optimization.
Provided training resources to local manufacturers and other interested parties through speaking engagements and classroom courses on topics like ISO 50001 Lead Auditor, Superior Energy Performance, and Solar PV basics.
