Cox School of Business
Sreekumar R. Bhaskaran is an associate professor of information technology and operations management (ITOM) at the Southern Methodist University (SMU) Cox School of Business. He joined the Cox School in 2006 after completing a PhD in supply chain and operations management from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin. He also has an MBA in operations and marketing from the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta and a BE in mechanical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras.
Prof. Bhaskaran’s research focuses on new product development and innovation. This research has been published in Management Science, Marketing Science, and Production and Operations Management Journal. He currently teaches operations management, operations analytics and project management to MBA and MSBA students at the Cox School and was presented the "C. Jackson Endowed Faculty Innovation Award" for 2008-2009. He also was named among “The Best 40 B-School Profs Under the Age of 40” in the 2014 Poets&Quants ranking of business school professors.
