National Professional Practice – Accounting, New York, New York (2006 – 2016) Partner in National Office responsible for responding to difficult accounting issues from practice offices, drafting firm responses and providing oral feedback to accounting standard setters (e.g., Financial Accounting Standards Board, “FASB”, U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, “SEC”) on proposed standards, and writing publications and making presentations on current technical matters. Topics covered include leases, income taxes, cash flows, inventory and all oil and gas industry accounting matters. Represented the firm at the American Petroleum Institute’s semi-annual Accounting Subcommittee meeting where I presented matters of current interest in oil and gas accounting along with others, including the SEC.
Cork University Business School
Stephen Moore has been a full-time college lecturer at the Centre for Policy Studies since September 2014. After 10 years in industry, Stephen completed his BComm and MEconSc at University College Cork. Stephen's research interests lie in the area of public expenditure, health economics and pension provision. Stephen teaches principles of economics to undergraduate and postgraduate students across several disciplines.
