Lecturer Suzy Taherian has more than 20 years of experience across the international finance spectrum. She started her career with Exxon and Chevron in various roles, including controller, M&A, international financing, trading, and internal controls. Looking for a different challenge, she transitioned to small rapidly-growing companies. She is currently CFO of Kinetics, a global engineering design and installation company with headquarters near Frankfurt, Germany. Taherian has had opportunities to work on projects in different countries around the globe, including China, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, New Zealand, Russia, UK, Germany, Switzerland, Brazil, Venezuela, Chile, Angola and Nigeria. She grew up in Iran and enjoyed living in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Taherian also served on boards of Central City Hospitality House and Chevron Credit Union for several years. She teaches an MBA course in International Finance and the International Study Practicum at UC Davis. Taherian holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University and a B.S. in mechanical engineering from UC Davis.
