Biography
UW Professional & Continuing Education
My love of media began with three elements core to my DNA.
- One: an inexhaustible curiosity about and consumption of content.
- Two: an innate ability to combine data and instinct.
- Three: mad planning and collaboration skills.
Media and communication planning are equal parts inspiration and skill. Precisely anticipating consumer needs, and presenting your brand as the right solution are table stakes, the goal is constructing an ongoing narrative between your brand and the consumer. A story that I can coauthor through balancing science and art, finding the connections between incongruent puzzle pieces so you reach the right consumer, at the right moment and place to drive the desired business action.
I have successfully connected data to insights and consumers to products for over two decades across wildly diverse industries, from Quick Service Restaurants and Alcohol to Health Care, Pay Television, Tech, and Retail. Tackling varied business challenges from seeding nascent HoloLens technology among futurists on Social Media to introducing a toasted sandwich loving talking baby to NFL fans.
I bring an unerring sense of narrative, a talent for putting myself in the shoes of others, with the ability to quickly build stories and quantify their brand and business impact. I build high-performing teams and media solutions that build on the strengths of others and deliver better outcomes. I’m equally comfortable presenting to the C-suite as I am running an agency RFP, creating a paid social campaign or building a media educational curriculum.
I also make a mean trivia night partner.
What I’m known for:
- Functional media expertise
- Making media approachable for Executives and Marketing partners
- Consultative approach matching business strategies to communication tactics
- High performance agency management
- Holistic campaign planning
- Level headedness and able to deal with ambiguity
- Kindness and win-win approach to teamwork
- Passion and persistence
