Presentation
My research interests lie primarily in consumer transformations and consumption-related individual and societal well-being. In the past my research has been conducted within the domain of food consumption, and included consumer vulnerabilities and resources within this domain. With visiting associate professor Rosa Llamas I currently explore what happiness means to consumers and how it is practiced, thus seeking to grasp the multi-faceted, culturally situated phenomenon of hedonic and/or eudaimonic consumer happiness. While hedonia has received extensive attention in consumer research for both the pleasures and challenges it holds, eudaimonic consumption paths are less explored – as is true for the link between the two.
Primary research areas
- Interpretive consumer research
- Identity construction
- Transitional consumption
- Consumer happiness and well-being
Courses
- Perspectives on Consumer Behaviour
- Strategic Brand Management
Supervision
Supervision of Assistant Professors in the Assistant Professors'' Programme.
