Tyler Berzin

Dr. Tyler Berzin is Co-Director of GI Endoscopy and Director of the Advanced Endoscopy Fellowship at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, and Assistant Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School. He studied neuroscience at Brown University before completing his M.D. at Brown Medical School in 2003, where he was the recipient of the Dean’s Prize for top graduating male student. Dr. Berzin completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in 2006, where he later served as chief resident, and subsequently trained in gastroenterology and advanced endoscopy at BIDMC, joining the staff at BIDMC and Harvard Medical School in 2011.

Dr. Berzin has authored over 100 articles and chapters on topics including endoscopic ultrasound and ERCP, quality and safety in GI endoscopic anesthesia, and applications of artificial intelligence in endoscopy. At Harvard Medical School, he has been the recipient of numerous clinical and classroom teaching awards, including an HMS Academy Certificate of Excellence in Teaching for 2010, and the Z. Myron Falchuk Award for Mentoring and Clinical Teaching in 2016. Dr. Berzin is also recognized as one of Boston’s ‘Top Doctors’ in Boston Magazine.
