Vinit Singh Chauhan

Dr. Vinit Singh Chauhan is an alumnus of IIM Lucknow, from where he obtained his MBA and later a Ph.D in Finance. He worked in the financial services industry for 28 years before moving to academia, including at senior positions at UBS, J P Morgan, and Standard Chartered. He was previously the Chief Financial Officer for Global Technology, Operations, and Shared Service Centres, and the Head of Technology Business Management at Standard Chartered, Singapore. Dr. Chauhan has vast international experience, having worked in Europe, UK, and Singapore in addition to in India.

Vinit has been involved with management education and teaching since 1996, and has taught at multiple business schools as a guest or visiting faculty member. He is also the president of the IIM Lucknow Alumni Association.

Research

Vinit’s research interests include family owned businesses, institutional investment strategies, entrepreneurial financing, and stock market behaviour.
