Background

David Precht is a lecturer at the Darla Moore School of Business, University of South Carolina. He joins the faculty from industry, with more than 35 years of significant experience in many aspects of the operations and supply chain functions. Precht has held numerous leadership roles, including vice president, plant manager, operations manager, materials manager, planning manager and shop floor supervisor, as well as professional roles in production planning and accounting. Precht has led business unit level process improvement teams, focused on information and material flow across sites and led and participated on plant level lean improvement initiatives. He earned his MBA from the University of South Carolina and his BS in Business Administration from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.

Precht is a certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.
